With Selection Sunday now part of history--it is officially one of the best times of the year. MARCH MADNESS BABY!!!!! For the next several weeks, I am addicted to basketball. I love to watch the games, cheer for Cinderella and see the heart that the back-up point guard has when he tries to "Will" his team to victory, during his 3 minutes on the floor. It is all so entertaining, even if you don't watch a college game all year, you have to get a little excited about the Big Dance.
Are there drawbacks to this time of year? Yes, one. You complete a bracket and end up picking a team to win the whole thing, even though you don't necessarily like them. You then end up cheering for teams you hate. I know there is something morally wrong with cheering for UNC or Duke, but I still do it every year. No, I have not always been involved in pools. It wasn't until my last year of college, I walked into work in the collections office and Mech hands me a bracket. Immediately I was hooked. Ever since then I have been involved and I continue to complete multiple brackets a year, in multiple pools. Now, I don't want to hear from anyone about their "Bracket of Integrity" because that is just crap! Why go with one, when you can fill out many and increase your odds?
Okay, enough rambling! Time to finish my brackets.
