I have been there when he served in a Bishopric, been elected to the City Council and I was there to take a picture as he crossed the finish line at a 5K run. But seeing this monument, something that will be an influence and have a lasting impact on our community has made me very proud to be his son. I am including in this post a video from the dedication tonight so that 1. you can see my dad and 2. the second part of the video shows some of the memorial so you can see how it looks.
How grateful I am to have such a great father and to be part of such an amazing community that rallies together and supports this worthy cause.
Lastly, how remiss I would be if I didn't take this opportunity to say thank you to my friends and family that have served in the armed forces as well as in the law enforcement community. Thanks to all of you--I appreciate each of you for putting yourself on the line each day for me and for my freedoms.
I am also including a link to the Daily Herald as they can probably give a much better description of the service than I ever could.

What an amazing accomplishment. The memorial is beautiful. It's amazing to know that a piece of your father's heart and soul will live in your community forever.
