Not to make any excuses, but with my mind has been focused on work lately. It was preparing for the Shareholders Meeting / Grand Opening that we held nearly a month ago. Well, we thought that we were done, apparently not. We will be holding another tour for dignitaries that were unable to make it last time. Which isn't going to be as nearly big as scale, but still a bit of a worry. Not to mention, we still have our normal jobs to do.
This past Saturday one of our local businesses was having their 8th Anniversary Party. As they are one of our dealers, we were invited to put together a booth. Our Utah Sales Rep and myself spent a few hours there on Saturday. I had a great time! I really did. I didn't realize how much I enjoyed talking about (pimping) AZOMITE. Apparently I have switched the purple FranklinCovey Kool Aid for the Green AZOMITE Kool Aid!

In addition to work, my mind really has been geared towards the Chamber of Commerce. Between now and the end of the year, we have some great events/activities in the works. Let me share with you a few of them that are in the "works".
Farmer's Market: Mark your calendars now August 24 and September 7. Small scale this year, let's get our feet wet and see how it goes from here. Last Tuesday I had to go to the City Council to get permission from them to hold this event. It was a little intimidating sitting across from the 5 of them as well as the Mayor, City Recorder, Administrator and Attorney. But I survived!
Entrepreneur Program: Snow College is trying to get a program going with the local communities and we want to be involved. If we can't get something going through the school, I would really love to see the Chamber get a program going with the high school seniors, maybe in conjunction with the FBLA.
Christmas Promotion: This will be one of the shop "local" Christmas Promotions, but I think we will be offering some incentives to help promote the businesses. (Fingers crossed)
In addition to a membership drive, there are a few more in the works right now as well, but I don't want to bore you too much. It seems like my mind is constantly racing and bouncing from project to project wondering what the next step might be.
Before I drag this on too long, we will get it wrapped up. Until...next time.
