I am grateful, for my friends!!!

Let me tell you all about a great friend of mine. A couple of weeks ago, Jane Bean caught me at our Ward Christmas Party and told me that she doesn't have the internet so would I be willing to print up my blog and drop it by? I told her not a problem! So a couple of days later (when I finally remembered) I printed everything up and dropped it by her house. Of course, you can't stop by Brother and Sister Bean's house without going in for a visit. I had a nice visit with them and as usual, I walked out of their house with gifts and food.

As I was was getting my clothes ready for work the next day, I hear the telephone ring. I pick up the telephone and as I say hello, on the other end I hear: "Clint, this is Richard Bean. Have you gone out and bought you a scope for your rifle yet?" I told him that I had not bought one yet. So, he tells me not to and that he was brining one over right now. I tried to convince him otherwise, but he would not take no for an answer. Within a few minutes he was knocking on the door. As I let him in, he had two different Rifle Scopes in his arms. Both of them were still brand-new and in their boxes. He tells me that all I have to do is decide which one I want. I tried telling him that it was too much of a gift, if I have one I have to pay for it. He told me that my friendship through the years was payment enough.

I was deeply moved by Brother Bean's generosity. As we were visiting, he told me that he builds a rifle for each of his granchildren and that he has more scopes than he needs, so I was getting one of them. I told him how grateful I am for his friendship and kindness. See, I am a little spoiled. All of my friends are great!

For those of you that don't know Brother and Sister Bean you can see a picture of them on my previous post regarding the Ward Humanitarian Aid day. Brother Bean is wearing a tan vest and Sister Bean is sitting across the table from him in a blue sweater.
