Who do you look like?

I must just have one of those faces. The one that looks like everyone you know. The other day, when I got home from work, Chris asked me when I posed for the Kings Outdoor World Catalog. I had no idea what he was talking about, until I looked at the back cover of the catalog. At first I didn't notice, then I looked a little closer and I thought, I guess there is a little resemblance. Then when Amberle came over later that day; she thought it looked like me as well. I gave the picture another glance and I guess there is more than a little resemblance.

This isn't the first time I have looked like someone else. While at college I was at a softball game and a spectator from the other team caught me after the game and asked for a picture with me. Apparently her and her mom were both convinced that I was their brother/son. When they realized it wasn't him they had to have a picture with me. I have been stopped in airports, people at the mall have started conversation with me. Somewhere out there I have a double or two.

This year at Thanksgiving while talking with one of our aunts, she told Chris that he looked like one of their cousins. I had never thought Chris looked like this cousin, but then again I never knew him when he was as young as Chris. Also in the course of the conversation Aunt Lorene told me that I looked like the Painters. (Which is great, since I am a Painter.) But, it came as a little bit of a shock to me. My whole life I have been told I am the spitting image of my mother. So, hearing I looked like the Painters kind of shook me. Like I said, it is not a bad thing, it was just something I have never heard before. Even though I might not be the spitting image of my mom, I still maintain I have my mother's eyes. When I look at her eyes, they are exactly the same color. Maybe that is where my confusion comes from.

Having said that. Who do you look like? Have you ever been mistaken for someone else? Have you been asked to pose for family pictures? I would be curious to know.

People mistake me all the time for Cameron Diaz. HA! Not really but I do have a funny story... I was driving with my friend and this car kept driving up to us and trying to get us to roll our window down. Finally I rolled the passenger window down much to my friend's dismay and the guy said, "Hey, I know who you are, You are Whoopi!" I laughed and said, "Yea, and I'm Julia Roberts!" There must not be many black people in Utah- Najah didn't think it was too funny but I got a good laugh.
