No rest for the um....

After spending the entire day Saturday at the Elk Banquet, I can't just have a nice relaxing Sunday. Nope, I have to still throw the annual Super Bowl Painter Party. Which generally just consists of turning on the game and putting food out on the table. Although the last couple of years I have started to add a few decorations. For the first time in I don't know how many years, the Painter family was split on our cheering. So, as to not play favorites (Go Saints) I bought black balloons for the Saints (34) and blue balloons for the Colts (17). I tried to remain neutral but, still had to cheer for my Brother Sigs.

This year I think the menu was easier than it ever has been. I decided we were going to go with a Hot Dog Bar. The bar was loaded, we had chili (thanks mom), onions, sour cream, cheese, sauerkraut, jalapenos, pickles, and 3 different kinds of mustard. We served them with Chips and Dip (Tracy made an amazing bean dip), dessert was a brownie sundae bar. And as an after dinner mint I served Tums. As everyone was getting ready to leave, I opened the fridge to start cleaning up and realized I still had a giant bowl of fresh fruit that was begging to be eaten. Oh well, Chris and I have been able to enjoy it this week.

The game was fun to watch as it stayed competitive most of the way, the food was great, the company "Priceless"! I had a great time with my family and friends. The party was a great end to a very busy weekend.
