Last week I realized it has been a few months since I had gone out specifically to take pictures. What's more, I realized how much I was missing it. The really dumb part here, I gave myself a new camera for Christmas and with the exception of taking a few pictures at Easter, I really had not even had my new camera out. Well, Friday night I decided I was going to change all that! I called Mike and told him to plan on making a trip into the mountains with me the next day. Saturday morning came around, Mike recruited Paul to join us and we were headed to gather some shots of the freshly powdered mountains. Hope you don't mind that I am going to indulge myself a little and put up a few of my favorites.
The funny thing about this picture. We had stopped to gather pictures of the running water as it was breaking through the snow. But I didn't like any of those pictures, but did like this one. I think my favorite thing is the rustic fence covered with the snow.
Mike told me I needed to take this picture. He liked the puddled water. When I started snapping pictures, I noticed the red branch. It intrigued me and I snapped a few more pictures.
I took a picture of this mountain when it was bright with all the colors of fall. Amazing how a few months down the road and it is the green standing out.
This is one of my favorite locations to take pictures. I have it in the colors of fall, during the summer when it is fully engulfed in green with the light streaking through. It was once again very inviting. I loved the look of serenity captured here.
This sight seeing adventure was just what I needed! Maybe it was the time spent with a couple of my brothers or maybe it was the time away from everything. Either way, I am pretty excited and am looking forward to doing it again soon.
