The last several weeks I have had the opportunity to catch-up with some of my bests from college. Towards the end of last year, I had agreed to speak at Snow College for the Business Club Members. Then on January 16, that day arrived. Before my speaking engagement, I had the opportunity to go to lunch with long-time friend Stacee. We had a true Snow College lunch at Roy's Pizza and spent more than an hour visiting with each other. You all know I am a talker and I enjoy talking even if it is standing in front of a group of young adults for 30 or so minutes. I totally enjoyed the chance to speak, but I loved even more the time spent with Stacee catching up on each other's lives.
A few days later, I had the opportunity to meet up with another college great, Jamie. Always willing to try something new, we met at Pizzeria 712. Which is a rather unique restaurant made with locally grown vegetables. While eating a delicious pizza of pulled mozzarella cheese we spent the next 90 minutes catching up in the last 10 years. Jamie was only in town a few more days before heading back to Australia, where she is currently stationed for work. Jamie looked and sounded great and the really funny thing, I took two pictures with my phone and she had her eyes open in both of them, which is a true feat for her.
About 20 seconds into both conversations, I instantly remembered why both of these beautiful ladies are valuable parts of my life. They are just such wonderful and great people, always caring about others and both of them were critical in helping me to develop into the person I am. I can feel a huge ramble coming on, so rather than going too long and rambling too much, I will just sum it up with, what a great couple of weeks I had, being able to catch up with these dear friends of mine.
