The night the lights went out in Nephi.....

About two weeks ago, (maybe 3) the power went out in pretty much all of Central Utah. On this relaxing Sunday evening we decided it would be a nice time to play a game of cards. As time wore on and it got darker and darker, we had to get out one of the camp lanterns so we could continue to play cards.

Three hours later, the power was still not on and we just finished up the ninth hole of a game of golf. (A Painter Family Favorite) because we all had to be at work or school the next day, we decided to not play the back nine and instead call it an night. It was now 10:30 and I was contemplating flipping the breaker so the power would stay out--and I would have a great excuse to not wake up for work the next morning--just then the power returned. I was a little disappointed, but I have to admit the night without the power and playing cards with the family was one of the best evenings I have had in a while.

What a fun night! I remember those from being a kid---may have to flip the breaker at my own home.
