Movie Review

WANTED

This movie was really not what I expected. Was I disappointed? No. Was I really impressed? No. But I did find the movie to be pretty entertaining. The movie was in fact action packed, much as I had hoped, but somewhere along the way the movie deviated from what it should be! (Yes, I am the one who decides what a movie should be. Send Spielberg my way would ya?) Let me see, what can I say? The movie was a little cartoonish; because it was never really based in much reality.

There is a shot of a naked Angelina Jolie as she walks away. (Not disappointing) Although I really doubt it was her. There are a couple more sex scenes which are pretty graphic. I could have done without them.

I learned that no matter how many F-Bombs are in a movie, you can still have just an R-rating. Even Morgan Freeman says it once or twice. Doesn't he know after his role in Bruce Almighty he is no longer allowed to say bad words or play a role that might be even remotely disingenuous? Again, the Clinton rules of movies apply here!

Overall, I liked the movie. Don't go if you are easily offended by the language, as I mentioned there is a lot of language and some skin. It very much earned the R-rating. I went to the movie with two female friends and both of them liked the movie. Heck--it was their pick of movies anyway. If you really want to see it, catch it on the big-screen don't wait for the DVD as I don't think some of the graphics and stunts will be as impressive on the TV, unless of course you have a large screen HD TV. If you do, be it known now, I hate you!
