Throughout the course of my life I have noticed that if I ever need to be grounded, or brought back to reality, I can turn to one of my brothers. It seems they are always there to either buoy me up or give it to me straight.
This was reaffirmed to me the other day. Recently we have had some changes at work that have pretty much done a number on me emotionally. I spent a few days wallowing in pity and self-despair. That was until I was talking to my brother Mike about it. Well, he must have had enough; as he gave me a few words of advice. I might be paraphrasing. He said to me: "At one time or another everyone hates their job. So, suck it up and do the job you were hired to do and do it the best you can."
Having listened to what he said, I decided it was time to pull up my big-boy pants and get my job done. Once again, words of advice coming from my younger brother.
