This is something a little knew for me. In the past I have shared a movie review or two. Now, it is the book review. Let me be honest. It isn't going to be as much of a book review as a shameless plug for the two books listed below. They are both excellent books and of course are timely considering we are approaching the Christmas Season.
The Christmas Gift tells the story of Scott and Ben. Who after a rough start become good friends and the challenges they face. If any of you have similar eye problems as I do (they sometimes leak unexpectedly) make certain you keep tissues nearby. This is a great story to read with your children!
Jacob T. Marley tells the story of Scrooge's business partner and the challenges and choices he faced. I found this to be a very unique read and a different twist on the Dickens Classic. I think you will enjoy this book and probably do a little soul searching afterwards.
Both books are by a person I admire and respect, Bill Bennett. Bill worked at the FC the same time I did. He is a great person and an excellent author. Please note, I would recommend these books, even if I didn't personally know the author. They can be found on-line. (I found them on Amazon.) All I need is another book that causes tears - I found myself on the beach in St Maarten last week SOBBING over a book. So embarrassing.
