The Next Step

After serving diligently and faithfully as a Nephi City Councilman for eight years, my dad lost his bid for a third term. He lost by a mere 2 votes to the third place vote getter. Rather than being bitter or upset he maintained his usual perception of life. He said: "Well, when one door closes, another one opens. I am excited to see what the next challenge might be." I too am excited to see what his next challenge might be. (I think mom is hoping he will challenge a remodel of the living room.) Whatever his next opportunity is, I am certain he will meet it head on and will tackle it with his usual gusto, enthusiasm, and follow-through. He will put his whole-heart into it, as he always does. No wonder he is my hero! Love you dad!
