Go Tell It To The Mountain

While on my drive today I had to make a U-turn due to the closed gate at the base of Pole Canyon. (I actually figured the gate was locked, but I thought maybe with our mild temperatures the road would be open.) Anyway, after I started heading back down the road I took a picture a few pictures of this mountain. Below is my favorite. As I was starting to drive away I looked across the main road and realized that during the summer we had spent an evening across from this mountain and I thought to myself, I think I have this exact hill with it's July foliage.

When I got home, I started looking through the pictures and I did indeed have a handful of pictures of the same mountain only covered in lush green. That and of course from across the street instead of nearer the base. What do you think? Definitely more picturesque in July right?
I do love these mountains! Maybe one of these days I will turn the tables and take a picture of the road from the top of the mountain, rather than standing on the road taking a picture of the mountain. Maybe?

I really like the winter picture! The colors, the way the light hits the it and the direction of the light. It's really beautiful!
