As I am certain most of you are aware by now, the state of Utah seems to be one big fireball, Saturday night, I decided to venture a little closer to the Ftn. Green Fire and see if I could grab a few pictures. Here are some of my better pictures.
Fire is truly devastating! It destroys everything in its path.
Leaving nothing but blackness behind. (In the air and on the ground.)
Even if the fire itself stays local, it has far reaching effects; as this smoke is carried on the wind.
This bottom picture, was so extraordinary (in my mind anyway). Layers of different colored smoke, topped with a few white plumes right on the top. The worst part, most of the fires we have had so far have been man-made. Which is amazing to me! In this current draught, more people aren't thoughtful (is that the right word) to realize what kind of impact their decisions can have. (Sorry, that was a little soap-boxish.) Let's all hope (pray, think good thoughts) these fires get contained and the firefighters all get to return home safely to their families.

I really did forget how many fires we had this summer. We need snow!!!!
