Nephi City Halloween Town 2012

I love the Halloween Town Celebration in Nephi.  For the month of October businesses and community groups and individual people alike decorate the town.  This year at work, we added Dracula to our Frankenstein as well as decorated the upstairs windows.  In addition to the decorations the Chamber of Commerce Sponsors a trick-or-treating event.  The Ghosts, Ghouls, Monsters, Princesses, etc. trick-or-treat at the participating businesses.  In addition to the usual candy, each child is given a ticket.  The tickets are redeemed at the city park for various prizes, whistles, glow in the dark teeth, notebooks, fingers, etc.  This year I was able to be at the park to help distribute the prizes.  It was a fun spot to see all of the creative and fun costumes.  In addition, this year we had a couple extra "Monsters".  We had a Headless Horseman and a Frankenstein that helped to make the day great.  It is such a great even and very fun.  I have said it before and I will say it again:  "Nephi knows how to hold a small-town celebration!"  I truly hope this is one event that continues to grow.

Every year I think how fun that is! One year we may have to come down and check it out.
