Friday after work we loaded up the vehicles, packed the sleeping bags and tents (well Paul and family took their trailer, cheaters). Once we arrived at our location we set up camp and then started preparing dinner. We were nearing the end of dinner when the first storm decided to move in. We all hovered under the awning on Paul's trailer as we chatted about our week. When we finally found a break in the clouds, we decided it was time to turn in for the evening.
Saturday morning found us taking the ATVs for a ride. We had a few clouds, but not too many, just enough to keep you a little cool. You know, West of Nephi is not the most beautiful area to visit, but it still is a great place to go when you need to get away. We returned from the ride and once again found ourselves participating in our new favorite activity, shooting trap. This time we didn't have any near misses or unfortunate accidents.
Once again as we were gathered around for dinner, the storm clouds rolled in and decided to pelt us with rain and hail. It seemed like it was waiting for us to let our guard down and then pour on us. Due to my early morning Sunday Meetings, I didn't spend the night out at camp. Apparently, the weather was beautiful Sunday while I was at church. I returned to camp about 4:00 p.m. just in time to tempt fate again and prepare dinner. We made it through dinner and even managed to cook a s'more. For a couple of hours we sat around and watched the fire dance while telling each other those stories that always make us laugh. About 11:00 p.m. we decided to turn in for the evening. No sooner did I get into my tent than the rain came knocking again. This time, it rained until about 8:30 the next morning. I was worried that I should have been on a boat instead of in a tent. Fortunately, my tent kept me dry.
Despite the weather I had a great time enjoying the company of my family and just getting away from work for a few days.

When talking about shooting trap you said that as if you've had near misses in the past. Remind me not to go with your family. :)
Sounds like fun. I love going camping. Can't wait to go this summer.
First I still think you may be bad weather luck....Tag you are it....look at my blog to see what you need to do next
Good - time with your family. Bad - mother nature!
