Awesome Awesome Awesome

This week I get another bragging moment about my nephew Chase. Saturday his football team had the chance to travel to Richfield and play against Manti for their league championship. When it was all said and done, Chase's team walked off the field with a 14-0 victory and the title! I asked Chase about the game, if he had any "Pic-Sixes" he said no, what about any interceptions? Again no. Then I asked him he batted any balls down and he told me he had a few of them. I know he has been pretty excited to play defense this year and he likes to be in on the action. The picture I have included is Chase and a couple of teammates receiving their medals. For those of you that don't know Chase, he is the one in the middle wearing the brown beanie.

When the team returned to Nephi, they were able to participate in a long-standing Nephi tradition of Championships. They load in the back of trucks that are mixed in alternately with city fire engines and the county ambulances. They then get to ride down main street with the sirens and the lights going on the emergency response vehicles. It looked a little cold to me, but I am certain they had fun. This picture has Chase waving as they are getting ready to drive down main street. Again he is in the brown beanie and wearing #12.

This last picture is just a fun picture of Chase. It is not too often that he actually lets you get a picture without him trying to hide his face. Well, this one is great because it is just Chase's face. (no that rhyme as not intentional.) Congratulations Chase and your 7th grade team!
