Long ago....okay let's call it a Flashback Friday

This morning, I walked over to the cafeteria with a co-worker. There you sat on the counter, looking all innocent and some might say, delicious. I managed to put you out of my mind as I filled up on Diet Dr. Pepper.

Today while at my favorite Greek place, getting a salad for lunch, there you sat again. This time, sitting next to you was fresh lemons and little packets of sweetness. Once again you waved hello as I filled my cup with Diet Coke. When am I going to learn?

You see, I don't partake of you, Ms. Iced Tea. Nor do I find your flavor particularly tasty. Although, I do relish the memory of you. I remember how when I was a young child you sat as far back as you could on the counter at Grandma William's house. Grandma would mix you delightfully with just the right amount of sweet. You became so tantalizing. You were a treat to snitch when Grandma wasn't looking. On more than one occasion Grandma would walk out of the room and return to find her Iced Tea was almost empty. But to be fair, it wasn't just me, I had other cousins that were as guilty as I was. I learned the art of Tea Snitching from Lorilyn. Ah yes, she was the pro, the expert, the standard bearer. And so began my love affair with you, Ms. Iced Tea. But now that I am an adult I don't ever really want to drink all of you, I just want to snitch from Grandma's glass that sits on the back of the counter.

Is the memory as good as the real thing? I bet it is close!
