Saturday as we were driving back from Mills, mom and I were driving by Juab Lake. Because it was a rather windy day, we noticed the waves blowing on the lake. I thought maybe I could get a few pictures of the waves rolling across the lake. I pulled the car over and stepped out to snap a few pictures. As I was walking close to the lake, the area right below me immediately came alive. To say I was startled is a bit of an understatement. By the time I managed to get myself back together I was only able to get a couple pictures.
The picture above was my favorite as I was able to get this duck before he took off, just as he skimmed across the water.
Even though they are not close, you can still see a handful of the ducks as they are fleeing from me.
I was getting ready to head back to my car, when this straggling bird decided he couldn't wait any longer and he had to get away. Not exactly the pictures I was expecting to take as I was driving up on the lake, but in the end they turned out to be better.
