#16 Elevator

A few miles south of Nephi there is an old Grain Elevator.  The elevator was used to load the train cars.  The train tracks are immediately to the west of building.  From what I understand the farmers would bring the grain to the elevator and the train would stop next to the elevator where the train cars could be loaded directly from the grain elevator.
The old grain elevator is one of those things from the past that is a part of the history of our little farming community.
I have often wondered what it would have been like to see it in use.  Looking at the black & white picture and it takes me back to a different time.  I can almost see the farmers hustling into action as the train approaches.  Working together for the common goal.

I love the B&W treatment - add such an element of age. How is it I've never seen the elevator? It must be set back a way from the road.
