This Easter Weekend has been rather packed and full of family fun-time! Many many years ago a tradition was started the Saturday before Easter. We would gather together with mom's family, roast hot dogs, marshmallows, spend time catching up with family and an Easter Egg/Treasure hunt. That last twenty or so years it is down to The Phil & Dorothy Sperry clan as well as the Robert & Beverly Painter clan. I think it is fair to say, this is one of my most favorite days of the year.
My two beautiful nieces spending some time catching the rays!
Burning a hot dog over the fire.
The guys on the sideline heckling Jenni as she steps up to bat.
Let the egg hunt begin!
Each egg had puzzle pieces inside. Everyone had to work together as a team to put the puzzle together. Yes the missing pieces does mean some eggs were not found.
Jarin giving the thumbs up to his reward.
Saturday night I invited the family over to color Easter Eggs and have a little party.
Baby A teaching us the correct way to paint an egg.
Some of the fruits of our labor.
Mike being extremely patient with "the Magic Crayon"
Baby A checking out her gift bag, um I mean basket.
Before Easter dinner, Mom and Dad set out an Easter Egg hunt for the young uns! I have to admit how impressed I was with Chase and Ber. They were so patient and wonderful helping Baby A find all the eggs. Well, at least until she was bored with it.
Chase showing off some of the findings.
Ber helping Baby A find a well hidden egg.
Chase checking out some of his SWAG. Also, I am confessing that I have some great pictures of Chase and Ber wearing their presents. But, I decided in an attempt to be a cool uncle, I would not publicly embarrass them.
Yes, I had an amazing weekend spending time with my great family. Lest anyone thing otherwise, none of us forgot the real reason for the day.
