Early Saturday morning I received a text message, the woke me up. You see, my phone sits next to my bed and approximately 5:46 a.m. I heard the familiar "DROID" ring-tone. I rolled over and thought, who is texting me this early. I looked and realized it was a text from one of my good friends. I quickly opened it because I thought it must be an emergency or she surely would not be sending me messages at this hour. It wasn't urgent, which was a relief. Anyway, I rolled over and spent the next 15 minutes trying to return to a state of blissful slumber. Apparently, that wasn't going to happen. Instead, I started puttering around the house. Before long it was 7:00 a.m. and I had started a load of laundry, started cleaning the bathroom, washed the dishes, cleaned the fridge and was starting to plan the rest of my day.
Saturday ended up being a very productive day. By the time I turned in for the evening, the house was pretty much spotless, I had replaced the batter in my car, had 3 huge piles of leaves, and had been to the store to grab the last few items on my shopping list. As I sat down Saturday night to watch some college football, I was thankful for the unexpected text and the motivation it gave me to work through my Saturday Chore List.

Wow, I'm glad that text turned into something great. But your friend is a jerk! However, I am very guilty of the 5:46 texts. My phone is kept in the kitchen so I guess I think everyone does that also. Then when I read a text I respond....2 AM, 5 AM...whatever :) I will have to keep this post in mind before I send texts in the future....I don't want to be the reason someone loses much needed sleep when it doesn't end in a productive good feeling day!
