Giving Thanks #14...Running Water

This morning while getting ready for my day, I realized how much I rely on running water.  Climbing out of bed and getting a glass of water, having hot water to shower and shave are just things that I completely take for granted.  I have friends that have lived in countries where they clean their clothes in rivers and on rocks.  It wasn't too far distant that an "Outhouse" was considered a comfort.  Glad we are well beyond that!  I am very grateful for running water and on days like today, I am glad the water can be hot.  Last winter, we only had cold running water in the office and let me tell you, that led to some cold moments.  (This has since been fixed.)  I genuinely do feel lucky that I live in a place and time, where running water is commonplace!

One of those things you don't know how lucky you are to have until you don't have it! Great!

You know why I like this, because it totally is one of those things you just get or have and don't really appreciate it. Thank you for showing the importance of really being thankful for something we take for granted so often. I am so thankful for this too. I can't imagine life without the fresh, running water. EWWW I don't want to either.
