Giving Thanks #13...This Quilt (No Really Thoughtfulness)

This quilt was given to me a few years ago by a very dear friend of mine.  I absolutely love this quilt, not because it is super snugly and warm, even though it is.  The reason I love it so much, is because this quilt from start to finish was made with me in mind.  So, whenever I wrap myself up in this blanket, it helps me to feel loved.  It reminds me know there is someone out there that cares for me.
A couple more examples of thoughtfulness!  The other day I received an email from another dear friend titled "checking".  I opened it up and it was my friend asking "How are you?"  She then proceeded to tell me that I have been on her mind for a while now and she knew she had to check in.  After a rough couple of days, this was the perfect email.  Not an advertisement for black Friday sales, not a mindless political email, but instead someone just wanting to check on me.
The other night, just I had put my head on the pillow for a good night's rest, I received an instant message on my phone.  It was from one of my friends that I had not heard from for a few months.  We spent the next 20 minutes or so catching up with one another.  It was just what I needed.
I deliberately picked this post for the 13th because it was World Kindness Day and the kindness of these friends, really helped me and came at just the right moment.  Thanks!

Very nice! That is a gorgeous blanket with a fabulous story. It doesn't surprise me that you have friends who think of you often. You are such a caring person and we are all lucky to have you in our lives!

OH!!! I want a quilt! Can you tell your friend that you have a friend who needs a quilt? LOL! Just kidding. I love this! Friends mean the world to me and I wouldn't be alive today if it wasn't for my friends. I really love this post!

I love the person who made this quilt as well as the guy who snuggles in it.
