Although I spend the vast majority of the day with my back to the window in my office, I am still so thankful for my office window and the great view I have of our courtyard.
During the short days of winter this window provides me with an opportunity to know that the sun still exists; it can bring calm to my mind, and most importantly it reminds me that there is a life beyond work.
This morning as I was in thought, (or maybe mid-breakdown) I turned to grab a bottle of water (okay maybe Diet Coke) out of my fridge and I noticed how awesome the snow looked on the trees and shrubs. The gentle flow of the water in the middle just really put the finishing touches on the perfect picture painted outside.
During the spring time I can see the ducks and geese with their chicks, I have seen skunks darting across the courtyard and there has been a time or two that I have called in fellow FC employees to help me mock the "love birds" sitting on the bench located mere feet from my office.
I don't think there is a better view from a 1st floor office and I am grateful to know it is there, when I really need it. And trust me, today I really needed it.

Amazing view - and - you have a fridge in your office????
I love the court yard at FC it really is beautiful. In all seasons it is lovely, but I do believe I adore it in winter the most. Especially when the ducks are playing on the ice :D
Hard to believe how beautiful that looks....guess I take advantage of it. Great picture Clinton!!
