This past Sunday was my brother Paul's Birthday. But due to the Painter Party falling on the same day, we celebrated his birthday on Saturday night. The family all gathered at his house for pizza and ice cream.
Somewhere in there we managed to give him some birthday presents and even passed along some birthday wishes. Did I mention that this was all during the Jazz game? (We weren't at it, just watching it on TV.) Getting together for family members birthdays is one of my favorite traditions! For years we did it with my cousins and now we pretty much just stick exclusively with my parents, siblings, and their family members. Is this something all families do? What do you do to celebrate birthdays?
Anyway, I love the opportunity to get together and celebrate family members birthdays. Even if it is for nothing more than pizza and ice cream.
