To be perfectly honest, I hate to drive in the snow. I know many people that look at snow and see Skiing, snowboarding, or a day spent on the snowmobiles. For me, I love the look of fresh snow on the ground, I love that the earth looks completely clean as the snow gently settles on porches, lawns, and railings. I love wrapping up in a blanket and watching it snow. It is just a calm and peaceful feeling. More than anything, I love having snow on the ground for Christmas. Sure, we might all be trained from years of songs, movies, and thoughts of how Christmas Should be. I am not opposed to the years of "brainwashing", as a matter of fact, I think when we have the snow on the ground for Christmas it only enhances the memories and the feelings of Christmas.
In addition to how snow adds to Christmas, for me I look at snow and I see a guarantee. A guarantee that we will have water during the summer. Water that provides nourishment to crops and food, water that quenches a thirst on a hot July day; water that cleans and refreshes. Yes, snow is so much more than just a hindrance to getting to work, it is something amazing. It signifies Future!
