But some things have stayed the same. The amount of fun we have, the love that is in the building, an orange, and the love and reverence we have for our Grandparents and the Christmas Holiday.
Yesterday we held this annual event and once it again it was a huge success! By my rough count we had about 150 in attendance. Probably one of the biggest parties we have had the last few years. No matter how many people we have, I still miss those that were unable to make it.
As always, I had a great time! I had an opportunity to catch-up with my aunts, uncles and cousins. Some of which, I only get to see at these family parties. Sometimes I miss the days when we would run upstairs in the armory building and play pool with the other cousins, or playing some rough basketball on the cold floor, trying to fit us all into the entry room at the armory where we exchanged presents and got our oranges from Uncle Ken. The created memories of these parties will stay with me forever. As long as we are still able to get together and spend the time with one another, that's what makes this party special.
